With a growing portfolio of properties to purchase, maintain, restore, and eventually operate as a railway, there is always plenty to do, and plenty of money needed! B&YVRT therefore runs fundraising campaigns to support these projects. At present, as well as the recently-launched Snapper Track Appeal, we are also working on various aspects of Bratton Fleming station, restoring the station to its former glory. This includes the Bratton Fleming Goods Shed Appeal which is well into the build stage: The steel frame of the building has been completed by local contractors, the cladding and interior fittings will be provided by our volunteers, the ‘Snapper Navvies’. Other projects are at the planning stages, but we are also running two long-term campaigns. One the Trackbed Appeal aims to raise funds for purchasing more trackbed as it becomes available, and another to go towards General Funds.
