Barnstaple & Yeo Valley Railway Trust (as EA and YVT) has run several fundraising campaigns to support its aims to obtain, maintain, and enhance sections of the former Lynton & Barnstaple Railway through the Yeo Valley.

  • Launched in September 2026, our Snapper Track appeal is to purchase materials to lay 730 metres of track at Snapper Halt. Any surplus funds will be used for the same purpose on other sections of the former trackbed.
  • Now approaching the final build stage, our appeal to rebuild the Bratton Fleming Goods Shed as a valuable resource has already raised several thousand pounds.
  • An ongoing appeal is for Trackbed Purchase – Exmoor Associates was formed in 2002 precisely for this purpose, and if you wish to support this primary aim, this fund will welcome your support.
  • Finally, if you wish to support Barnstaple & Yeo Valley Railway Trust in its wider aims (such as maintaining our portfolio of property, artefacts, etc) without a specific purpose, then we have a General Fund
